We can’t let our weekend end without a huge thank you for your hospitality. When planning this trip to Lake Placid as a team of young hockey players and their families, we were looking for lodging that was clean, comfortable, family/kid friendly,  and affordable, not to mention a prime location for our hockey tournament  of events . We were hoping that your lodge would be all this, but it turned out to be even more!

Upon our arrival, your friendly and kind professionalism is commendable, not often are we treated as if we were family and not just strangers spending the weekend in an establishment. Your lodge is perfect for those families looking for a place to stay that is close to the local attractions of that area, yet far enough away to enjoy the beautiful countryside and down home feel.

Whether it was an additional rollaway bed, warm wooded fire, friendly smile, good morning handshake or a simple glass of wine at the end of a day full of hockey games and sightseeing, you were always there to extend a helping hand to make our stay perfect! Accommodating a team of youth hockey players and their families is never an easy task, but your location, friendly staff and availability of recreational areas for the kids to play and common living rooms for the parents to relax and socialize were as amazing as the snow capped mountains.

In these economic times, it was incredible to find a lodge with all the amenities that we wanted and then to learn you would allow us the use of your spacious kitchens to cook family meals to save money was the perfect addition to an already incredible accommodation.

Your expertise and knowledge of the area allowed us to travel with ease and you gave us an understanding of all that we could enjoy in our extended weekend tournament vacation and sightseeing endeavors.  But, just when we thought we had experienced it all, we turn around at the tournament and see you cheering on our kids!!

It is without hesitation that we highly recommend your lodge for all families and visitors to the local areas. We HIGHLY recommend it to large groups looking for a clean, friendly and reasonable accommodation in the Lake Placid area. We know we are already planning our return there as a team for our next year’s tournament as well as many returns with family and friends. What a great place for a family reunion!
