Our local beach at lake everest.  Lake everest is a man made lake created by the dam in the middle of wilmington.  This is an super family spot with a rec area and free concerts on summer thursday evenings. (less than a mile from the holiday)

'the flume'  for the adventurous type.  jump from the cliffs into the pool.  (less than a mile from the holiday)

Jay Covered Bridge, park and swimming hole  Little bit longer trip 5-miles but a great spot for the kids.  rec area, tennis courts, picnic area and really fun swimming.

Wilmington boasts several houses of worship for your sunday morning in the Adirondacks (less than a mile from the holiday)

Whiteface Memorial Highway leads to the top of Whiteface Mountain.  this sign is in front of our lodge,  when you see this sign,  you are here.

The candy man is across the street and is known world wide for its most excellent confections

Lake Everest Diner is the local pizza place.  cool place to browse around too.  Bob always has something new in there.

Our good friend roy has two great places.  as in Lake woebegon, if you can't find it at the superette or the hardware store, you don't really need it.  Fantastic Deli at the little supermarket.     (less than a mile from the holiday)

Steinhoffs is a wilmington institution.  full bar, wings, burgers, bbq, full service restaurant and lodge.  just a great place to hang.

the fact that you didn't see a gas station for the last 25 miles of your trip doesn't mean there isn't one here.  Wilson Farms is just up the road
